Godly Play
Age 3 - 6th Grade
Godly Play is a Montessori‑based Sunday School program that invites children to explore the mystery of God through storytelling, wonder, and play. Each session begins with music and community‑building followed by the day’s story. Afterward, children move into responsive work time and free play, giving them space to process, create, and engage with the story in their own meaningful ways.
Godly Play is 9:40 - 10:30AM most Sundays from September through May.
Alleluia Choir
Grades 1 - 8
Alleluia Choir rehearses weekly for choral skill-building and fellowship with performances in worship a few times each school year.
Alleluia Choir meets 10:45am on most Sundays from September through May.
Sunday Cool
Grades 6 - 12
Sunday Cool is our Sunday morning programming for middle and high school students. Join us in the narthex at 9:45 a.m., where we begin with a quick icebreaker before heading to the youth room for donuts and a chance to check in with one another. Most weeks we share Highs and Lows, spend a few minutes with a short devotional, and play a game together. Sunday Cool is the bedrock of our youth ministry, offering a consistent weekly space for connection, community building, and fun.
Youth Group
Grades 6 - 12
Youth Group meets most Sunday afternoons, September through May, for fun, fellowship, and community‑building. New activities are offered each week. Recent gatherings have included a Bob Ross painting party, a plarn‑making service project, Lego Day, a church lock‑in, and participation in an intergenerational Earth Day event. Youth Group offers a welcoming space for students to connect, try new activities, and grow in faith together.
Confirmation
Opportunities begin in 8th grade
Confirmation is part of our faith formation for youth as they come to affirm their baptisms as adults. Youth gather in the fall and winter on Wonderful Wednesdays for a potluck dinner at 6pm and class from 7-8pm. We use Manna and Mercy, a biblical survey by Daniel Erlander, for instruction. The book focuses on how God is present and active in human history and all creation, providing youth an overview of the Bible as well reflection on the ways the Bible applies to their everyday lives.
Fall Session: September 2 - October 21
Winter Session: January 6 - February 3.
Acolytes
Opportunities to serve begin in Middle School
Acolyte means “one who helps” and is an important way youth can participate in worship. Acolytes help by attending to the candles, carrying the cross,
a book, or a banner, serve communion, or supporting in other ways.
Regardless, acolytes participate with the pastors in the ministry of worship.
Acolyte Training: Sunday, August 30 following worship with pizza afterwards.
